the best years of my lifeThis is the year I find myself,  I'm tired of running lost.  And this is the year I test myself,  I know these borders can be crossed.   
Its time for me to rise and shine,  It's time for night to pass.  I'll take out this wall from the bottom brick,  I'll stand by and watch it crash.   
And I'd hate to think in 50 years,  with grandkids and a loveless wife,  I'd remember back at seventeen...  that these were the best days of my life.   
So Ill throw myself out upon the line  and then Ill knock on wood.  And once worse has come back to worse,  God help m the best years of my life

And yet, I've never been one to give up hope.   
So I sit on the edge of my bed,  palms at my temples,  Staring that fear right between the eyes.  Ill agonize over everything I could take away from the situation.   
And you know, I've never really been one to give up hope.   
I was too busy reading this drama,  to see the comedy I've been living.  I was too busy hanging from this thread  to see the vines on which I'm swinging.

The unknown gripIn my hours of strength and Independance, I consider throwing it all away by a disturbing sleep.   
As I trust myself in my REM, an icy grip walks from behind me and slowly begins to massage my shoulders. Once disturbed by this unknown counterpart, it gains trust as its massage slowly relaxes me.   
I am calm now and conversly flooded with memories of my life that shake me to this day. I am drenched in cold sweat, and similiarly drenched by these murmers of my past, constantly revealing my regrets.

I was surfing the Metal music forums on GameFaqs tonight and someone made a Topic about this guy on Xanga named "the darkness surrounds me"

Just read this guys page, its messed up. This kids like 13!

I know people who have REAL problems, this kid doesn't have any problems that no one else has. Theres this guy that works with me at Bob Evans named Kenny. Hes a busboy (which is a step below waiter, what I do) and I found out today that he is like 35 years old and has three kids and has been married. He rides his bike to work everyday, and HE LIVES NEAR ME! Thats like a three mile bike ride. Imagine walking on your feet all day and then riding your bike for like three miles to and fro everyday! Hes taken a job, at such a shitty place like Bob Evans nonetheless, in such a position as Busboy to make ends meat. And the amazing thing is, he never complains about it. He has like the hardest life ever and hes always really positive and shit.

It really makes me take a step back and think what the hell am I doing making journals talking about my hair? Who gives a flying fuck about my hair! My problems, and this little gothic kids problems are trivial.

Moral of the story: Suck it up, you dont got it bad I tooken told ya!
